Blue Fence In Botanic Playing Fields Comes Down
The temporary blue fence which fenced off an area in Botanic playing fields has finally come down. It was used house machinery and materials while the new Queens library was being constructed.
The fence was an eye sore for residents of Stranmillis, especially those on Colenso Parade and Sandhurst Drive. This was made worse as the fence became heavily graffitied.

The walled off area was storage for the QUB Library site, not the sewers project. It is part of the QUB PEC car park. Parts of the second crane from the library site were stored there after it was taken down and only removed late last year.
